NATTA Membership Criteria:
NATTA offers 3 types of membership
1. Active Membership
2. Provisional Membership
3. Allied Membership
The basic criteria to become Active member of NATTA, the tour and travel agency must have at least one year of operation experience of the business.
For provisional members, any tour and travel agencies can apply for this membership at NATTA, even if the operation period of the company is less than 1 year. After successfully completing 1 year of operation of the business, the company then can apply for Active Membership along with the application and Audit Report. Provisional members don’t get voting right until they become the Active Member.
Allied membership is specially for non tour and travel agents. The companies such as Airlines, Hotels, International tour and travel agents, Trekking Agents, Mountaineering Agents, Rafting, Expedition, Tourism related academy, Restaurants, and any other tourism related business are eligible for Allied Member. Any corporate house may apply for Allied Membership.
Membership Criteria:
You may collect membership form from NATTA Secretariat for Rs 100. The form consists of Membership form, Application form and company profile form. Following are the some of the fields to be filled up on form.
· Paid-up capital
· Office Area
· Staff Name/Qualifications
· Annual Sale
· No of Vehicles
· other assets’ current price etc
Following are the important documents to be submitted along with the form (Mandatory):
· Foreign Exchange permission certificate from Nepal Rastra Bank (Central Bank Of Nepal)
· Letter of recommendation from Bank (in which the company has an account)
· Managing Director/Chairman/CEO/executive (any one); CV/Bio Data, 2 PP size photo and citizenship’s photocopy
· PAN CARD’s photocopy
· Tourism Industry registration photocopy
· Small and cottage Industry office-registration photocopy
· VAT Reg No. (Only if registered with VAT)
· Audit Report photocopy
· Rules and Regulation (Nimawali) photocopy
· Project Paper (Prabhanda Parta) photocopy
All the above mentioned complete documents from the applicant will be reviewed by the NATTA membership coordinator and will also visit the site/office for inspection.
Then the NATTA membership coordinator will present the report on Board Meeting. The final decision on granting the membership to the applicant company shall remain with the NATTA executive board.
The applicant company will then receive a letter of grant of membership and request for payment of membership fee.
